REVIEW campaign

Wohoo, along with the first summerly day the last REVIEW campaign movie we shot in LA went online. The music was composed and recorded at our in-house studio by Jonathan Wulfes. Lay back, imagine it was already summer and enjoy california at it’s best.
Enjoy.

Parasol’s latest compilation

Dreaming of naked teenagers with long hair laying in trees, endless summers, a mansion underwater, living in a rock at the riviera with sexy mermaids whispering: “We are getting it on and won’t leave before six in the morning!”? About time to treat yourself with Parasol’s latest Beachfreaks compilation -an anticipated new mix of hairy freaked-out psychedelic pop from the 1970s.
This mix was undusted and pieced together by Parasol Island’s creative director and hardcore collectore Charles Bals. Most of the obscure bondfire disco tracks came from ungoogleable vinyl singles, salvaged from the far reaches of a sunken Europe underground disco culture, and available through his online store Cosmic Dudes. So bring the banana lounge, shades and beach ball and follow us to the endless summer!
If you didn’t get the Parasol Island 2012 Beachfreaks CD, send us an EMAIL with a photo of you on the beach. Naked or in a bikini…

Some of the 7inch records that made it into the mix. Undusted from far shores.

Listen to it online.

REVIEW kicked off 2012 with some digital fireworks by relaunching their website. The brand spanking new site is a fashion playground that not only draws attention to REVIEW’s collections but also involves the customers to interact with content. Along with the website relaunch, REVIEW TV got initiated which aims to find an Online-VJ to lead the campaign. Their job (if you can call it one) will be to report from fashion events and comment on the latest trends in music. Parasol Island developed the new website – including content like the latest campaign movie shot in L.A. – and created the REVIEW TV campaign.
by “Nivea for men”

Do you know the feeling when you use the wrong deodorant? It feels kind of itchy and painful! For our latest spot for Nivea for men we wanted to demonstrate this little predicament in a provocative and entertaining way. NETEYE came up with the idea for the spot and our director Norbert Heitker turned the whole scenario into a cinematic symphony documenting men and their daily morning routines. For this chart breaker we recorded the sounds of men using their deodorants and mixed it all together to create a howling masterpiece of music: Volume up for the irritation blues.
