Hans is looking back on a successful history as an award-winning motion designer, animation director and illustrator. His aesthetics are truly “holy shit” and his cinematic skills a valuable co-pilot when approaching animation like a classic film maker.

So may we introduce to you, the act you’ve known for all these years,
Sir Hans Schultheiss.

17y Old Designer Mago Joined Parasol Island Fulltime. Fullstop.

Halftime celebrity Magomed Dovjenko is the new kid on the block. He joined our creative team only a month ago – his work combines illustration, graphics and typography with a style that is best described as totally awesome.

Jay-Z browses his work, Nike hired him, FormFiftyFive interviewed him, Stefan Raab had him on TV, and we put him under arrest full-time and at your service. Don’t believe the hype. Trust us.

Welcome onboard Mago.

Beach Freaks Don’t Like Secrets 2

Oh so nasty!

Back in 2009 Lovefingers hosted Beach Freaks Don’t Like Secrets, a seminal mix of 70s coastal funky hippies that was pieced together by Düsseldorf digger Charles Bals. Most of the obscure tracks came from rare Italian and French 7″s that were available through online store Cosmic Dudes. The shop specialises in the hardest to find cosmic disco and electronic avant garde that Charles and likeminded full-time record excavator Mitch have salvaged from the far reaches of Europe. Years on, Beach Freaks still holds up as one of our favourite ever sets of psych grooves and we’re totally flipped to be hosting it’s equally exciting sequel. While the tracklisting for the original mix remains sacred, Charles throws a cat amongst the pigeons and divulges one for it’s companion. Bring the banana lounge, shades and beach ball and follow us to the endless summer!

Scenes of a tropical storm

Luckily, Irene turned out to not be as bad as it could have been. Two young filmmakers went out during Hurricane Irene to document their Manhattan neighborhood.
